According to the press release the new Sony Ericsson S500i is all about "colour accents and ever changing desktop themes". Open the slider and you can "set the in-phone themes and external light effects to change when you want - with the seasons, as day turns to night or when the weekend begins".
Whilst this marketing speak is confusing its clear that Sony Ericsson have created another quality mid range phone. The 2 inch colour screen and 2 megapixel camera will be perfect for most users and the customisation features will appeal to anybody who wants to make their phone unique.

sony nw-A1200:
Sony has a long, if spotted, tradition of creating portable audio devices with rich sound and unmatched design. The flash-based NW-S705F picks up the design torch, filling an interesting niche between Sony's Flash-based budget player, thesony NW-e005, and the hard drive-based sony nw-A1200. The NW-S700F series offer 1GB (the NW-S703F) and 2GB (NW-S705F) capacities that retail around $169 and $199, respectively. The Sony NW-S705F is a competitor in both price and features to Apple's ipod nano. While the Nano can boast about its higher storage capacity and iTunes integration, Sony's noise-cancellation function and fantastic battery life make the NW-S705F ideal for air travel and people with noisy jobs, or subway commutes.
The W660:
The W660 features the latest Tr ackID software which allows users identify tracks by recording a piece of music using the microphone or by tagging a clip from your music library or FM Radio. The service queries the Gracenote Mobile MusicID database and identifies the track, artist and album in real time. Thanks to a 512MB Memory Stick Micro the W660i can store up to 470 tracks. An integrated RSS reader offers your favourite feeds on the desktop. Sony Ericsson have included a 2 megapixel digital camera with Picture Blogging features so you can post to your blog or website at 3G internet speeds. Also introduced today are the Snap-On Spearkers which plug into the W660 and blast o ut tunes like a real stereo.
